Oliver started working with stone at an early age building dry stone walls with his father in the nearby peak district, leading to an appreciation and love of creating natural materials.As well as an understanding of local stone, landscape and the wildlife that lives there.

visual skills, and provide an understanding of modern Art practices.This was then followed by a two year course that taught Masonry, Carving and Lettering in the seaside town of Weymouth (Dorset) using traditional hand tools to work the local and pristine white, Portland Limestone. Oliver’s work has benefitted greatly from this experience blending artistic exploration and expression, with clean presentation and knowledge of stone in all its forms.
