As part of my curriculu at Nid Ahmedabad, my project was to develop high-end luminaries for living room spaces using the Sanjhi craft of Mathura for both domestic and international markets. Sanjhi is an ancient craft of cutting paper stencils to make Rangoli patterns on walls and floors. It traditionally comprises of themes and motifs depicting the life of Lord Krishna.

also studied various techniques, technologies and production constraints. I designed various types of lamps(floor, corner table , wall mounts, hanging and ceiling ) using concepts inspired by nature such as Lilly flowers, leaves, sedimentary rocks, the Jamun tree, a reflection of a tree in water, beehive form and the Peepal tree. Each lamp blends into any environment and can be used effectively as sculptural or decorative lights in living room spaces.
